It appears that my platform company Wix is saying that my website is being shut down if I do not hire the repair people they recommend to fix it to the tune of $200, $300 or $400.
I am not quite sure what needs fixing as I pay to use “their” platform. Apparently I have malicious errors. Shouldn’t they have to maintain the behind the scenes things? Something does not seem right.
I have written them back after their repair person responded with an invoice in some kind of language I have never seen before was sent to me to pay before they did any work. This repair person had a woman’s picture but was named Lucas. Lucas kept calling me “dear”.
Now to get my back up … just be a stranger and start calling me dear. Red Flag 🚩 has arisen.
Consider me paranoid but if I do not know what they are doing and cannot reference it in the invoice, now I’m nervous again, red flag 🚩 number 2. After having been spammed before and folks getting into my bank account- I am not taking a chance.
We are at a stand off at the moment. 😊 if my blog disappears you will know why. It has been deemed dangerous to the Wix platform group….
It all feels fairly cloak and dagger at the moment. They reference calling in their legal action termination unit…..
Well that did not take long. It was a real Scammer.
There were a couple of “hints” even though they wrote to me on the official Wix platform.
The whole thing seemed off from the start.
Did you know they can hack into a private and secure email account pretending to be the company? They can do this from almost any company not just this one. Your bank, your insurance provider, the list is endless.
The thing that sealed the deal was when the person got scared that they had lost their “client” (me) and responded with:
“Did I offend you in any way please forgive me
Please let me know your aim just begging for the sake of God.” This is not a reputable company communication and was the final 🚩 for me.
How do you know what is real and what is sketchy? I am not talking about just here on my blog. I am meaning how can you know the real deal from the fake in real life?
They say that in order to know the “real” from the fake, you need to familiarize yourself with the truth first. In banks the tellers spend time feeling “real” money so that when a bill comes along with a different “feel” it will be obvious to their fingers.
Dentists and hygienists have spent years in people’s mouths. They know if you are flossing. The real flossers from the fake.
Massage therapists and physiotherapists have trained hundreds of hours feeling people’s bodies that it comes instantly to them when something is out of place or wrong.
Whitney Houston’s hit song “How Will I Know?” ( if he really loves me), is a question most of us ask at some point in our lives. How do we know?
How about in the spiritual world? That is a world we cannot even see. The same rule applies, spend time in the Truth (Bible) so that when a lie or a statement that seems “off” comes along you can instantly recognize it.
We cannot expect someone else to do the fact finding work for us because they will not always be there. We will need to know the truth for ourselves so we can make an informed decision. In some cases those decisions can make or break us. Someone getting your identity and banking info is dangerous.
In love, unless you were given real love as a child it can be so tough to tell real from counterfeit.
There is an answer and His name is Jesus, other name: Truth. He calls Himself that.
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
The exact principles for being scammed apply here. How do you know Jesus is the real deal? Spend time with Him, get to know who He is, read the Bible especially the books of John, Matthew, Mark and Luke.
It will be a life lesson because once you know the real deal, you will not be satisfied with the fake answers the world hands out. You will have a resource to go to when other things confuse you. For example scammers, I ask Him about them. Jesus gives sage advice! (Wise counsel).
Trust Him. Why? Because in the love department He is the only one who would ever die for you, who would say, “no punish me instead”, then walk up to the front to do it.
Jesus did, and went as far as the cross.
