Healing Part 2

These were not the jeans in my story

So I’m sitting in a coffee shop waiting for my order, they tell me 4 minutes for fresh stuff. Fine, I sit at a little table to wait, my eyes are misting up from Brian memories and I keep blinking back the tears. Twice now I caught a young fellow, maybe 30ish looking at me.

In my head I’m going: “no, please do not ask if I’m okay, please no.”

He apparently had not noticed. He says: “the jeans right?”

I say, “Pardon me?”

He grins and says, “ ya my buddies tell me to change the jeans, too many rips. But it’s the last pair my dad ever bought me.”

I reply, “ Sorry I honestly had zoned out and I never noticed. How long ago?”

“19 years….”

Me, “wow, that’s a long time.”

Him : “ya I had a lady tell me she could sew me an insert especially cause of the butt…”

I twirl my finger and mimic a twirl, and he does. Yup not much fabric there. 😉

He looks me square on and says, “I don’t give a …. I’m just going to keep on wearing them”

I now have on a small grin and says, “hey, I wear my hubbys shirt to bed every night since he’s passed.”

That stops him and he turns and says, “ I hear ya”. And he walks out.

Those jeans had seen better days for sure, but the memories keep them alive for that fellow. The pieces of fabric still attached were hanging on for dear life. Perhaps Canada is a lot like that... let me explain.

Last weeks blog on healing and the varies places of our body being broken or damaged has not come quickly. I first got my biggest download in Scotland, 1 year ago. From there is has come in waves from various places as confirmation and revelation. It is a vast subject and hard to put it all into a blog form.

Recap (or just go back and read the blog on my website): Healing our bodies and the fact that our bodies are made up of pieces – we have our heart, our soul, our spirit and our physical bodies. We are fully human, meaning physical, but we are also fully spiritual as well.

Imagine my surprise when I am driving talking to God about this healing and pieces and the Lord downloads one word - “land” to me and I am like “land???”

He said: “the land has pieces too and some of them are fractionated,” meaning broken. Broken off, not whole, like having a broken arm or leg, some pieces can be broken in the land.  Imagine a body with a boken leg and then trying to get up and walk normally, it does not work. Or imagine a pair of ripped jeans, thread bare almost, but holding on and holding up, some of the rips are repaired with zip ties.

Now I am going out on a limb here so please do not shoot the messenger but please KNOW that this is not a Political blog – not in the slightest, I am the messenger who is relaying a message. I happen to be the most unpolitical person I know.

I asked God, “How does the land get fractionated.”

He said, “well number 1, you have Alberta trying to take a piece off, it is like trying to take your arm off and then claiming to be a whole body.”

He said, “it is like Quebec wanting to separate and that is like trying to take your leg off and still claiming to have a whole body. It does not work. You need to pray corporately as people of this country for these places that are broken, they need healing. Starting with repentance and forgiveness.”

This is not a political statement this is a statement about a whole body and whole land.

God: “The other thing that we need to start treating is our people.” He went on to explain that we are not a nation of people groups. For instance we have Natives or First Nations, we gave them this name.

I heard a Native man on the radio asking that we perhaps could instead of labelling them, maybe we could call them ‘people.’

Canada is made up of many people groups, many cultures from all over the world, that is a beautiful thing. Mandessa sings a song that says, “we all bleed the same”. Yes when blood is spilled it is always red, people all over the world have the same color blood, people all over Canada have the same color blood.

We should share each other's burdens, become a united people group, but we have labelled sections of our people: Natives, 1st Nations, Japanese - we put them into Interim Camps in the 2nd world war, separated them from the rest of us, Francophone, Jewish, Newfies, Frogs, Chinese, Italian, Muslim, Seikhs, Gays, Trans and so on.

As the Immigration flood has come and is still coming in Canada and around the world this message is imperative to understand.

These statements lead to one conclusion: “Us and Them.”  Separation.

These things that we have separated in our talk and our thinking are things we have to come against in the spiritual realm, because just like in our bodies, there is a spiritual realm over Canada, and it is fractionated and broken off and we are limping around with broken limbs still saying we are "fine" but not actually getting anywhere.

The Lord said, “You will never be healed as a nation until you start repenting and changing these outlooks.”

All land is made up of above the earth, air, atmosphere, radio and telecommunication waves; the physical land, dirt, soil, water; and then there is under the earth, the minerals, the oil, the thousands of underground storage facilities, and of course, the garbage. Parts of all of these have become fractionated, broken. Maybe we were not part of the problem, but God says we can be part of the solution.

As we start to incorporate one people group of Canada, and not separating the Yukon or Northwest Territories, or Newfoundland, we come to realize that we are all one large people group, Canadians, from all different walks and cultures, we are Canadians.

Canada was never a Christian nations – Did you hear that?

A land mass cannot be a Christian, only the people can be Christian and when the people of Canada, all the cultures get together and start repenting and praying in unity to God for our country and for our land and our people: God will heal our land.

We are Canadians all under the banner of people of the earth, and we happen to live on a land mass called Canada. A great land mass, one like no other, a proud landmass.

Nature even cries out, the Bible tells us in Romans 8:19-22 that nature longs for us to become proud because Canada already is. We have let our country and nature down because we have broken it down into pieces. We have not been good stewards of creation and people.

Like trying to walk on a broken leg, it is virtually impossible without intervention, Canada is trying to walk with many broken pieces – virtually impossible. Like a pair of jeans with not much fabric left, Canada is thread bare, in danger of coming apart except for perhaps a few zip ties. Our memories are still alive for those of us who remember a different fabric of Canada. No Government will save us but I happen to know someone who can.

Lord we ask you to forgive us for what we have done and include in your prayer the things that God would have you claim, because in your area it will be different than in my area. But as a nation and as a whole we would start praying for the reconciliation of our country, the land, the air, the minerals and for the people of Canada, and we ask that God begins with us, you and me, and WE ask God to Bless and Heal our land.
