We find it hard to want to Bless other people, you know those drivers who cut you off or change lanes without signaling; what about that one that stole the parking spot you had been patiently waiting for? What about those grouchy, miserable people you run across at the store, at work, at school or just about anywhere? Oh come on, admit it, you did not want to offer blessings their way…. I was at the movie the other night, the movie was “Same Kind of Different as Me”. I real
I was asked to write a blog on the Judgement of God. When I was first asked – I thought “heck no, that sounds like brimstone and fire!” but when they explained what they were thinking – I thought… hmmmmm... The person explained that people and God both judge people. But people judgement and God judgement are totally different. This month of love I would like to confront an issue so widespread, it does not have borders; in church, out of the church, financially secure or in poverty, neither skin color nor race, are an issue – it is a racial boundary crosser. Part 2 - our visit to a Black Church At the close of the evening the Pastor got up on the platform and announced – no word of a lie – that he noticed that they had a couple of visitors in the congregation tonight (we definitely stuck out in the crowd).
