Who would have thunk it? The Jetson cartoons nailed it!
While that might age me, and maybe not a whole lot of you know about the Jetson’s - look them up. They travelled in little flying vehicles – and we all dreamed of having one!
Well I have news….Flying cars have arrived in this world – Woohoo! Let the fun begin…..
It seems several countries have launched electric flying vehicles to the world in the past year. The race has been on and most of us were not even aware of the creation of EVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft).
God has given humans this amazing brain that can create and invent all kinds of crazy things! This is a whole new level of commuting! I do not think that this is exactly what God had in mind when He said in the last days there would be "signs in the sky". Acts 2:19
I first saw an article in Israeli News that they had completed the successful test run for their flying car the Air One three weeks ago. It is designed to fly up to 2 people above the cars below and can go 155 miles per hour and a distance of 100 miles on a single charge. The inventor of the air vehicle hopes that this vehicle will be available to everyone, not just commercial businesses and is hoping to be set up to go by the end of 2024 at a price of about $150,000 and they are accepting pre-orders now.

Then there is the Jetson ONE. Made in Sweden and they have a mission to change the way we travel. They hope to make the skies available for everyone, you do not have to be a pilot to drive it and you can learn to fly it in 5 minutes. As a matter of fact, the Jetson ONE is so popular that their 2022 and 2023 production runs have totally sold out, but if you hurry they are accepting 2024 orders. The price tag for one of these is $92,000 which when you figure out that a full pick-up truck now sells for bottom end $40,000 and on up to the $100,000 range. Why drive when you could fly? I found the XPeng X2 (Pictured at the top of the page) created in China – a flying supercar vehicle that holds 2 people, again, to be launched in 2024. The battery pack gives up to 35 minutes of airtime at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour. The price tag on this vehicle is going to be in the $125,000-235,000 range. They are claiming to the world's first flying car but I am not sure of that fact.

All this sounds crazy, right? But it is science fiction come to life.
But the cream of them all is the AirCar by Klein Vision created by Stefan Klein it was certified as an aircraft in January 2022 in Slovakia. This is not an electric vehicle as it is powered by a 1.6 litre BMW engine which is fueled at your local gas station. Flying at 140 miles per hour and can travel up to 370 miles, but the company is hoping to get that up to 630 miles. A team of people have been working on this one since 2017. The coolest feature is that when it is done flying the wings and tail all fold up in 3 minutes and the vehicle turns into a racing car! Yes, a true James Bond vehicle. Being a dual vehicle, it has aircraft status so you do have to be a pilot to fly it and it also has vehicle status. This one is pretty awesome and also tops the price tag at $500,000 and up to 1 million for this little baby! The company is hoping to introduce an AirCar taxi service but they already have orders and hope to deliver their product in the later half of 2023.

These are all super cool inventions. The EVTOL vehicles do not have to land at airports they can take off from anywhere as long as the land owner has given permission.
So basically the saying: : “The Sky is the limit” has never been more true!
